As we continue to grow and more people discover MBBI, we receive additional inquiries about our programs and specific questions about the institute. Here are some of the questions we receive, along with answers.
- Are you a Bible college or a seminary? MBBI is a Bible institute offering 46 college level courses with programs in Bible, Pastoral Ministry, and Christian Education.
- Do you offer degrees? We are a non-degree granting institution, but offer different levels of certificates and diplomas in the three previously mentioned emphases.
- Are you accredited (Will your credits transfer to other institutions)? No we are not accredited and do not offer our courses to be transferred, but to be applied to our programs for graduation. However, because of the experience and credentials of our instructors, two accredited institutions, without our solicitation, have stated they will take our credits. One is a major Christian university that has agreed to accept credits as an elective for a student this semester who is dually enrolled at that university and MBBI. This was at the student’s initiative and request with that university. Another Christian university with a seminary contacted us and has also stated they will take our credits for students who would like to later enroll in their programs for a degree.
- Is your tuition expensive? No. We are a local church ministry and our goal is to offer education that is affordable for anyone who desires to enroll. A request fee of $180.00 per course for credit and $75.00 per course for non-credit is what we ask.
- Can non-Baptists attend MBBI? While we are Baptist in doctrine, individuals of all faiths are welcome to attend with the understanding that all courses are taught by Baptist instructors from a conservative, traditional, Baptist perspective.
- How is MBBI funded? We receive the majority of support from churches and individuals and the rest from the request fee tuition from students. It is our policy to not solicit funds, but ask God for our needs, then wait for Him to touch individuals or churches for giving. God has provided our needs, and more, from the beginning.
