Distance learning with classroom lectures online will be available in the Fall 2018 semester at MBBI. Classes begin August 13 and enrollment is now open. For more information, contact info@msbibleinstitute.org. For distance learning, students will be able to join each week and “attend” in the classroom by viewing the actual classroom instruction live. If the class time conflicts with the student’s schedule, the student can view the lecture anytime during the week after the class meets. Students who attend on campus will also have access to the video and can review the class at any time.

Seven courses are being offered in the Fall 2018 semester on campus with one period of classes meeting at 3:00 in the afternoon and the second period will begin that evening at 6:30 every Monday and Tuesday beginning August 13. The schedule is as follows:

OT 131- Old Testament Survey- A general survey of the Old Testament is presented with outlines of each book and their setting in the Old Testament. Dr. Aaron Parker
Evening Classes, 6:30

PM 131- Homiletics- This course deals with the preparation and delivery of sermons for the preacher covering topical, expository, and devotional preaching. Students will prepare and present sermons for the class for critique and instruction. In keeping with the belief of Central Missionary Baptist Church and MBBI concerning women in ministry, this course is only available for men who have been called into the ministry. Dr. Aaron Parker

Afternoon Classes, 3:30
BB-132-Jewish Culture and Customs – This course studies the different Bible land cultures, focusing on Jewish culture and customs, enhancing understanding of scripture. Covers hundreds of verses on topics such as food, marriage, occupations, farming, music, and many others. Dr. Joseph Harris

OT-132-The Pentateuch – The first five books of the Old Testament are studied, with special attention given to Genesis, creation, the fall of man, the flood, and the origin of the nation of Israel through Abraham. Dr. Daryl Coats

Evening Classes, 6:30
BB-234-Foundation of the Authorized Version – The history and background of the King James Version of scripture is presented, following the beginning of the Byzantine text and tracing the transmission of the English text, presenting a defense of the integrity of the King James Bible. PM-132-Pastoral Ministry – This course is for men in ministry called to preach and pastor and covers different aspects of ministering in the local church. Instruction is given in how to conduct church business meetings, officiate at weddings and funerals, lead in the observance of the Lord’s Supper, baptize, and various other pastoral functions. In keeping with the belief of Central Missionary Baptist Church and MBBI concerning women in ministry, this course is only available for men who have been called into the ministry. Dr. Richard Clark
RE-233-World Religions- Major world religions are studied beginning with their history and impact on world history and contemporary society, with emphasis on Islam.
