Entrance Requirements

The requirements for a student to enroll at MBBI are that the student be of upright moral character, willing to be taught, and willing to conduct himself within the guidelines of the school.

To enroll in a certificate or diploma program, a student, as a rule, must have a high school diploma or a GED, or proof of completing high school requirements through home education. Exceptions may be made depending on the student and circumstances.

Enrollment in MBBI is a privilege, not a right. MBBI reserves the right to refuse enrollment or ask a student to withdraw from school because of low grades, questionable character, unsatisfactory dress or grooming, immorality, drug or alcohol use, or promotion of doctrines not in agreement with the Doctrinal Statement found in this catalog.

Transfers

Acceptable class work performed toward a certificate or a diploma at other schools approved by MBBI may be accepted for transfer of credits. However, acceptance of credits from other institutions of higher learning will be considered on an individual basis. No grade below a 2.0  will be accepted as a transfer.

Transcripts

Transcripts constitute a part of the permanent records of all students who enroll in MBBI. These records are considered confidential and may be reviewed only by the director or other designated official. The student is responsible to request and deliver their transcripts to MBBI for evaluation. An official transcript of a student’s record may be provided to another school upon receipt of a written request from the registrar or dean of that school.

Tuition

Tuition is $70.00 per semester hour for a total of $210.00 per class, or if a student wishes to audit the class for non-credit, the fee is $100.00. This fee is payable upon enrollment. Any exception must be made through the office of the director before a student is admitted to class. Members of Central Missionary Baptist Church are not required to pay tuition. Checks are to be made payable to Mississippi Baptist Bible Institute or can be paid using the Donate button at msbibleinstiture.org.

Fees

The only fee payable to MBBI is (1) a tuition request fee for each course at the beginning of each semester. (2) The only other fee that might be required is a nominal fee for a classroom work text such as for the course Jewish Culture and Customs or text required by the instructor and an extra fee which may be added for online courses. The student is responsible for obtaining whatever textbook is required for each course and these can be found by the student online.

Refunds

No refunds will be allowed after the fifth week of a semester. Prior to that time, any refund will be prorated. No student will be awarded a diploma or given a transcript until all fees, tuition, charges for books and supplies are paid in full, and all library materials and books checked to that student are returned.

Refunds will be made as follows:

  • During the first week: 100%
  • During the second week: 80%
  • During the third week: 60%
  • During the fourth week: 40%
  • During the fifth week: 20%
  • After the fifth week: 0%

Textbooks

Each student will be responsible to independently acquire any textbooks required by an instructor for a class. Materials can be purchased economically on the internet.
