Objectives
Mississippi Baptist Bible Institute (MBBI) is a Bible and church training institution, established for the purpose of training ministers and Christian workers. It is not the purpose of the institute to teach secular courses following a liberal arts program.
Courses are practical in nature, and are offered to assist the minister and Christian worker in their individual fields of ministry. MBBI is not affiliated with any accrediting agency, therefore, courses completed for credit at MBBI are not intended for transfer to certain institutions, but can be applied toward completion of certificates and diplomas offered at MBBI.
Certain courses taken from other institutions can be applied toward a program at MBBI if applicable and approved by the director.
Sponsorship
MBBI is sponsored and operated through the oversight of Central Missionary Baptist Church, 509 Blank Street, Ellisville, Mississippi 39437.
Opportunities
MBBI offers ministers and other Christian workers a sound theological education in the principles, doctrines, and practice of the Word of God. Ministers and other Christian workers considering where to go for true Bible-based training in the development of Bible knowledge and practical ministry can discover what they are looking for as they investigate the programs offered at MBBI.
Standards of Conduct
MBBI is distinctively Christian and Baptist. Students are cautioned regarding their morals, financial responsibilities, and studies. Their conduct should be in a manner becoming Christians.
Students are expected to exemplify good Christian character and citizenship. All students are expected to show proper respect to the sponsoring church, Central Missionary Baptist Church, and her pastor.
Attendance at MBBI is a privilege, not a right. The school reserves the right to ask a student to withdraw from school because of low grades, questionable character, unsatisfactory dress or conduct, indifference to study, or promotion of doctrines not in agreement with the Doctrinal Statement of MBBI. Any student arrested and charged with a felony or misdemeanor may be dismissed from school.
